Romance blossoms

"I don't normally condone the giving of cut flowers, it's unethical but I'll make an exception since it's you who's giving them " said Venus with a coy smile
"I'm so sorry, I didn't think. I just thought most ghouls like flowers..."
"sshhh, it's ok besides I'm not most ghouls. Just make sure you bring me chocolates next time" Venus giggled
"Next time?" enquired Jackson
"Yes, when you come to pick me up for our date"
"What date?"
"OMG Jackson you are a bit slo mo sometimes. Yes the date you've wanted to ask me on for the last week but have been too nervous to do! I'm trying to make it easier for you"
"Oh....ohhhh, I see. So where would you like to go out then?" Jackson finally understood
"Surprise me" said Venus as she began to walk down the corridor. Her high heels click clacking on the tiled floor.
Jackson was left still bewildered as to what had just happened but as he began to smile he realised that he felt different. Frankie wasn't the only ghoul in this school, why had he been so infatuated with her? she was a bit ditsy and she could never make up her mind about him or Holt or any other boy who showed her attention. Venus was the total opposite, she knew exactly what she wanted and probably knew how to get it too. Jackson told himself that today was a fresh start, all he had to worry about now was where the hell he was going to take Venus on this date!
