Thank you I did indeed make the outfit. She has on the original cage under her skirt which i repainted. The goggles too are the originals painted. I made the wings as well, the cogs are from some old watches that i took apart. I do love her to bits i have to admit
Awwh thats so cool! She is so detailed T_T I just bought a Robecca to hopefully custom at some point Don't know whether to repaint or not? hmm bit scared! Might just reroot but I really want to try! What brushes do you use to repaint? In the US they have tiny brushes may need to hunt harder in the UK!!!
If i wasn't spending money on pullips i might have bought another Robecca to keep as herself but i might have rerooted her and made her more old school steampunk. I guess it might be a future project so i don't blame you for wanting to keep her as she is. I went to hobbycraft for my brushes, they do some really tiny ones size 10/0 i think about £3 but i agree the Uk is pretty rubbish at having craft shops about, you could always try ebay and look for fine detail brushes. I suggest that when you do find them buy a few as they will turn fluffy really quickly and become useless for small details. Good luck with it
Careful that you don't spend too much in there, i can wander around going "Ooo beads, fabric, ribbons, pretty things!" They used to have some steampunk charms in there too for jewellery making. I'm sure that you'll come out with things that you didn't intend to buy Happy hunting.
Yes... May have to bring someone along to restrain me from the ribbons and amazing things! I almost bought a load of doll-house size victorian picture frames made out of cardboard the other day in a local craft shop - had to restrain myself! I did buy some bows though... and yesterday I bought Skelita! I found the last one in the shop and my friend got Jenifire So jealous of her! But still, Skelita is so beautiful! Thanks for giving me the push to buy her - I was like "hmm should I get her?" and then I was like "littlemissanthrope said she was amazing I must get her!" haha
I'm such a bad influence bet you don't regret getting her though I should have said that hobbycraft are good for getting water based acrylics if you do want to have a go at customising. They have doll house furniture in there too and i've been tempted to buy some things but i've resisted i just think "no, i could put the money towards a doll" You proberbly could make your own picture frames, i've been making some luggage out of cardboard for a photo shoot with Aurora. It was quite fun to do
